Far from evil, Magnatune's music is best characterized as easy—easy to find, easy to try, easy to share, and most importantly, easy on the pocketbook and the ears. As I listen to the free preview of Lines Build Walls, the second Magnatune album from pianist Ehren Starks, I recognize the inevitable: with his first album already in my collection, this one will soon follow.

When it does, I will have once again succumbed to the temptation that is Magnatune music. "We are not evil," claim the folks behind Magnatune. Maybe not, but be warned: you just might find yourself coveting their music.
